Tuatara Structures: New member and host of the LFRA 2025 NSW Explore & Forum

The Large Format Retail Association is pleased to welcome Tuatara Structures as a new member in 2025 and the host of the upcoming LFRA Tuatara Structures 2025 NSW Forum & Explore
As a family-owned New Zealand-based design and construction company, Tuatara Structures specialises in assembling and delivering Large Format Retail land and built developments across the regions of both the North and South Islands.
With insights into key growth areas within New Zealand’s major cities and regional centres, Large Format Retail Association members can leverage Tuatara Structures’ national delivery capability to test feasibility and explore development and construction options, fostering collaboration that can optimise retail performance.
Matt Jackson, Principal of Client Partnerships, Tuatara Structures said, “Our track record demonstrates we are the team in New Zealand who can ensure specific requirements are met seamlessly.
“We understand businesses may have their own design approach and processes that enhance retail success and customer experience. Tuatara Structures offers flexibility; whether working alongside existing in-house and external design consultants or integrating into a bespoke design and construct delivery model.”
In 2024, Tuatara Structures celebrated its 10th anniversary. A key market differentiator in its national expansion over the past decade has been its Gross Max Price model, through which client partners receive a guaranteed financial position on the project.
Mr Jackson explained that this price guarantee is achieved by resolving and mitigating key construction and procurement risks upfront before agreeing on the contract.
“We welcome the opportunity to discuss and partner with Large Format Retail Association members for the delivery of their distribution centre requirements,” he added.
A current example of work is the new Mitre 10 Mega on Prestons Road, Christchurch, a $30M+ development featuring a 12,000 sqm building with extensive car parking and landscaping across a 2.5 ha site.
The project has secured resource consent, with large site clearance completed. Geotechnical and building platform works are currently underway, with completion scheduled before 1 December 2025, ahead of the Christmas trading period.
Large Format Retail Association members considering opportunities in New Zealand are encouraged to explore how Tuatara Structures may be able to assist, starting at the 2025 NSW Forum & Explore on 6 March or by reaching out directly to Matt Jackson.
