LFRA welcomes on Board two new Directors

New LFRA Directors Michael Cherubino and Patrick Noone had their first Board Meeting earlier this month, following the successful Annual General Meeting (AGM) hosted on Tuesday 7 December 2021.

Mr Cherubino has been Executive Director of Adairs Limited since 2010, and a key member of the executive team for the last 20 years.

Prior to this, he was Chief Financial Officer from 1996 until 2016 and has held previous senior roles at National Australia Bank and Bankwest.

Patrick Noone is the Country Manager of Costco Wholesale Australia and has over 40 years of retail experience having worked for Woolworths Australia, Loblaw’s Canada and with Costco for 32 years.

Mr Noone was promoted to Vice President of Costco in Western Canada in 2003 and was then transferred to Australia to start up Costco Wholesale in 2006.

Costco opened its first warehouse in Melbourne in 2009 and now has 13 warehouses operating in all states except for Tasmania.

Mr Cherubino and Mr Noone were unanimously elected by fellow LFRA Retail members at the AGM to take the place of retiring Directors Mike Fried and Jan Gardberg.

Both Mike Fried and Jan Gardberg have tremendously contributed to the Large Format Retail sector.

Mike Fried, Finance Director of Beaumont Tiles, was an experienced LFRA Director having been on the Board from 2018 to 2021 and served as Treasurer from 2019 to 2021.

Jan Gardberg represented IKEA and served on the Board since 29 January 2021.
