Highlights from the LFRA Emerging Leaders Event at Signify
The Large Format Retail Association (LFRA) recently hosted an Emerging Leaders Event, offering a glimpse into the future of retail lighting through the lens of innovation and sustainability for Large Format Retailers.
Held at the facilities of Signify, the lighting division of Philips, in Padstow NSW, this event provided rising stars from LFRA member organisations with a unique opportunity to learn more about cutting-edge practices and solutions in the lighting industry.
The day began with a warm welcome from the Signify team; Andrew Ferreira, Key Account Manager for Professional Projects, and Martijn Douven, Head of Retail & Hospitality Business APAC. Participants then embarked on a comprehensive tour of Signify’s facilities including the 3D printing production area, and the testing facility, a unique asset in Australia.
A standout feature of the event was the look into Signify’s Interact brand, which offers a suite of connected lighting solutions. Interact’s innovations are designed to help businesses optimise energy consumption, monitor systems remotely, and adapt lighting in real time to enhance the customer experience in a retail setting.
This aspect of the event highlighted how interconnected technology is transforming retail environments, providing both operational efficiency and improved customer engagement.
The event concluded with lunch and a networking session, providing our emerging leaders with the opportunity to reflect on the day, and network with peers and industry experts.
A special thanks to Aaron Castles and the entire Signify team for their wonderful hospitality and a successful LFRA Emerging Leaders Event.
The day provided valuable insights on the latest lighting technologies and also set a forward-looking tone for the LFRA Forum that followed the next day.
