Garry James, LFRA Director and Director of Property

Garry James’ is currently the Director of Property, Bunnings Group.

Garry is a motivated and authentic leader with significant experience with major Australian and overseas companies in the retail, property and finance industries, with a real focus on generating long term value and sustainable success.

Holding a number of senior positions across the Bunnings Property team over a 20 year period, Garry has gained tremendous satisfaction in playing a lead role in shaping the Bunnings store network. In that time, he has been directly involved in the sale or development of over $5bn of property assets. Garry is passionate about building the best store network, driving favourable outcomes in capital markets as well as the challenge of the digital age. Living our core values of respect and integrity, Garry believes generating long term trusting relationships is the key to the success of a team and a company as a whole.

Previous to joining Bunnings, Gary held positions at both Lend Lease and the Bank of Scotland and holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and CPA qualifications.

Garry is a Director of the LFRA Board.
