Family-owned business PETstock opens 200th store where it all began
PETstock is a 100% Australian, family-owned and operated business built on humble beginnings in regional Victoria.
The company was born in 2002, 11 years after the Young family took ownership of Ballarat Produce in 1991.
Brothers David and Shane Young have built the PETstock business on family values, with a passion for pets and a can-do attitude.
“Having our 200th store open where it all began, in Ballarat, instils a sense of pride for not just our family, but for the wider community to show how far two local boys have come while maintaining our family values within the PETstock DNA as we continue to expand.
“We are always humbled when we hear about the positive experience customers have across the PETstock network in Australia and New Zealand as we continue to evolve and provide the quality care and expert advice that we’re known for across a range of services and products,” says Shane.
PETstock Creswick Road will service traditional household pet’s needs with the key services including DIY dog wash, grooming, puppy school, personalised pet ID tags and fish tank water testing.
PETstock Creswick Road Manager Jamie Constable is thrilled to be a part of history with the opening of the 200th store in Ballarat.
“It’s fantastic to be able to welcome not only the 200th PETstock store, but the fourth PETstock location into the local community of Ballarat.
“We look forward to welcoming even more Ballarat residents to the PETstock family, while raising awareness on pet adoption, providing expert advice and services because we know you’re not shopping for your dog, cat, bird or fish, you’re shopping for a family member,” says Jamie.
During the celebrations, PETstock was able to donate $87,000 to the Lismore Flood Relief.
PETstock Assist, PETstock’s charity foundation, is committed to changing the lives of pets and humans through education, awareness and their PETadopt program supporting local rescue groups with in-store pet adoption days and various fundraising and awareness activities.
The store is located at T4, 109 Creswick Road, Ballarat Central and will be open weekdays from 8am – 5.30pm and on weekends 9am – 5pm.
