Baby Bunting has crossed the Tasman to open their first store in New Zealand
Baby Bunting has crossed the Tasman to open the doors to their first bricks-and-mortar store in New Zealand.
On Saturday 13th August the baby goods retailer welcomed customers to their new store in Albany, Auckland, with a grand opening celebration to mark the occasion.
The New Zealand experience was carefully curated to feature the extensive range of tried-and-true baby brands that Baby Bunting customers expect, while also showcasing partnerships with local suppliers to offer families the widest selection of products under one roof.
The opening of the Albany store also means customers in the area can take advantage of offerings such as everyday low prices, a professional car seat installation service, capsule hire, click & collect, the Baby Bunting price promise, and the Baby Bunting family loyalty program.
Michael Pane, General Manager Operations at Baby Bunting, says the opening was a major milestone in the retailer’s network strategy, with more stores on the way.
“The ambition at the very least is to have 10 [stores in New Zealand] as part of our network plan, more than likely more than that,” said Pane.
“There’s definitely opportunity in the country for us, and certainly for the consumer it presents opportunity to get more goods under one roof.”
Baby Bunting Albany is the 66th store within the ANZ region.
Alongside the physical opening, Baby Bunting has also worked hard to improve the online shopping experience for New Zealand parents.
Central to this improvement was a new onshore distribution centre, to support faster delivery timeframes, as well as releasing an upgrade for the Baby Bunting New Zealand website to support the local range, pricing, and services available.
Baby Bunting first entered the New Zealand market in 2021 with an online-only offering, allowing customers to get a taste of the brand while the face-to-face experience was planned and executed.
Auckland locals can find Baby Bunting’s first store in New Zealand at the Albany Lifestyle Centre.
