Alexandria Homemaker Centre rolls out the red carpet and welcomes Spotlight

Adding to its array of retailers, Alexandria Homemaker Centre welcomes Spotlight as a new anchor store. With 140 stores nation-wide, including stores in nearby Bondi Junction and Rockdale, Spotlight cements its growth trajectory into the thriving Inner West.

Alexandria Homemaker Centre sits within one of the most sought-after pockets of Sydney, between Green Square and Mascot in the ‘homemaker precinct’ just 4 km south of Sydney’s CBD.

As Spotlight Executive Deputy Chairman Zac Fried reaffirms, “Bricks and mortar is here to stay,” the brand adds an Alexandria footprint of 3,000 sqm in the centre anchoring its position at the Southern end of Level 1.

“Delving into our customer mindset, the Spotlight brand with its expansive product range is the ideal offering the centre and its customers have been demanding for some time now,” said Thea Mahony, Arkadia Group Marketing Manager.

Spotlight opened its doors and commenced trading on 11 October, coinciding with the reopening of NSW.

Arkadia’s Leasing Manager, Nick Bradbury, adds “It’s exciting to partner with Spotlight, a market leader who despite current events continue to re-invest in their business.

“As a pivotal new addition Spotlight’s arrival is a major step toward meeting local customer needs and increasing diversity of tenancy mix.”

In response to the expansive Inner West residential growth in Zetland, Mascot, Alexandria and the $800 million Green Square re-development, Large Format National Retailers are seeking to add their store network beyond what was once traditionally found in Moore Park.

National retailers are recognising the strength of the Inner West location as it attracts various catchments of the Eastern Suburbs and Inner West.

These areas largely comprise of young professionals with disposable incomes.

Alexandria and surrounds continue to be reshaped with new medium to high density residential and retail developments underway, all within walking distance of the long-established centre.

Going from strength to strength, Alexandria Homemaker Centre’s reinvigoration strategy is cemented with new categories and retail offerings opening late 2021 and early 2022 across both levels.

The multi-level enclosure of Alexandria Homemaker Centre includes convenient on-grade and undercover parking with a diverse retail offering comprising of electrical, furniture, bedding and homewares, baby goods, lighting, floor coverings, blinds, and much more.
