Savers® Australia Thrift Superstore has arrived in Sydney!

Savers® Australia is an Associate Member of the LFRA, and we have commenced trading in Sydney with our new Thrift Superstore at Hoxton Park Central, Prestons. This is a significant milestone for our brand, a subsidiary of Savers Value Village™ (USA), after more than 25 years of success in Victoria and South Australia. Customers have responded well to our first store in New South Wales, appealing to those who love thrift shopping, and the thrill of finding a unique item at a great price, while helping support the planet by giving preloved items a second life.

Savers® has traditionally traded out of Large Format spaces here in Australia and in North America, and the Hoxton Park store is no different at 1,590 sqm.  Most of our existing store network spaces are over 2,000 sqm and up to 2,700 sqm at Modbury in Adelaide. There are around 100,000 preloved items on the shop floor every day, across women’s, men’s and kids clothing, accessories, homewares, books, furniture, small appliances, toys and more. We have approximately 25,000 new second-hand items arriving in each store weekly, and our in store and central processing facilities are well set up to support a fantastic range in each store every day.

Our not-for-profit partnerships are a core part of our commitment to social responsibility. Savers accepts all donations on behalf of a not-for-profit partner and pays them in bulk for the items, helping them fund programs in the local community, reinforcing its dedication to making a positive impact in the communities it serves.

We attract a diverse range of customers, from teen fashion-hunters through to senior citizens taking advantage of our weekly seniors’ discount offer. A driver of foot traffic to Large Format centres, customers enjoy shopping with us both during the week and on weekends, and we see thousands of customers per week in each store.

We have significant growth plans in Australia. Each Large Format store will employ over 40 team members from the retail floor through to the goods processing team who also operate on-site.
