2023 Emerging Leader of the Year: Alex Capra

The 2023 LFRA Annual Gala Awards recognised Alex Capra with the Emerging Leader Award.

As Head of Development and Leasing at Harvey Norman, Alex started his career 15 years ago, shortly after university, in an assistant role in Property Development.

His multifaceted experience includes leasing, property acquisitions, disposals, and development, even navigating the Global Financial Crisis in property Asset Management.

Alex has played a significant role in acquiring and developing major Large Format Retail properties, contributing to Harvey Norman’s Property Assets Under Management growth from $800 million to over $4 billion.

His ethical conduct and strong relationships in the real estate sector have been exemplary.

Alex’s active involvement in the LFRA has been vast, including being the inaugural recipient of the LFRA Overseas Study Tour Scholarship, co-presenter of the LFRA National Sites Review and contributing to the LFRA Forums.

His dedication to the LFRA and passion for the Large Format Retail Directory have been commendable.
